WORLD GAS CONFERENCE 2015, PARIS

The 26th World Gas Conference will be held at Porte de Versailles in Paris from 1-5 June 2015. Early bird registration at €2700 (incl VAT) ends on 16 January 2015, after which the rate is €3,180. MGA members are encouraged to register early, as accommodation at the main conference hotel, the Le Meridien Etoile is limited.

The WGC is the most important gas industry event organized by the International Gas Union. A large part of the WGCPARIS2015 programme will be the culmination of three years of studies and research conducted by over 1,000 industry professionals who make up the 14 IGU Working Committees, Programme Committees and Task Forces. The breadth of the World Gas Conference’s programme really makes it stand out from other leading industry events, with conference topics spanning across the whole gas value chain ranging from exploration to the burner tip, sustainability to geopolitics.
Some key statistics of the event:
• 4,000 delegates from over 100 countries
• 45,000 sq m of exhibition space
• 500 speakers
• 350 exhibitors
The theme for the conference is “Growing Together towards a Friendly Planet”. The key focus for each of the four days of conference will center around:
1) Natural Gas for Sustainable Development
2) Gas and renewables – the perfect combination
3) Natural Gas available everywhere
4) Human Resources for the Future
In addition, there will be a concurrent Youth Event, dedicated to students and young professionals between 20 and 35 years.
PETRONAS will be participating in the Exhibition.
